AI product engineering
We take AI-native products from a blank page to production — interface, model layer, evaluation, and the infrastructure underneath.

Atilan is a software development company in Sheridan, WY. We design, build, and operate production systems — and the products behind Bucker, Riobox, and Veloce.
Four practices that usually ship as one engagement. We scope to an outcome, then stay accountable for it through production.
We take AI-native products from a blank page to production — interface, model layer, evaluation, and the infrastructure underneath.
Cloud foundations that stay boring under load: infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and cost you can actually forecast.
Pipelines and storage designed for analytics and model training alike, from ingestion through to a warehouse your team trusts.
Retrieval, agents, and fine-tuning applied to real workflows — scoped to a measurable outcome rather than a demo.
Three products out of the same practice that serves our clients. Each one runs in production and pays for its own roadmap.
Error monitoring and structured logging for production software. Capture every exception, group it intelligently, and land on the line that broke.
An omnichannel social media manager. Plan, publish, and respond across every network your brand lives on, from a single workspace.
A large-scale AI database. Warehouse, lakehouse, and vector search behind one query engine, built for analytics and model workloads together.
No black boxes and no six-week silences. Every engagement moves through the same five stages, against a deployment you can open.
We pin down the outcome, the constraints, and the riskiest assumption before a line of code is written.
Architecture and interface decided together, so the system and the experience are shaped by the same trade-offs.
Short iterations against a working deployment. You see real software every week, not status decks.
Production launch with instrumentation, rollback paths, and the runbooks your team needs on day one.
We stay on to measure, tune, and extend — or hand over cleanly to your team with the context intact.
We started Atilan because most software teams still treat AI as a feature to bolt on at the end. We build the other way around — models, retrieval, and evaluation are load-bearing parts of the architecture from the first sprint.
That approach is not theoretical for us. Bucker, Riobox, and Veloce are our own products, built by the same engineers who take on client work, running against the same standards for uptime and cost.
We deliberately stay small and take on few engagements at a time. The people who scope your project are the people who write the code.
Tell us what you are building. If we are not the right team for it, we will say so and point you somewhere better.
